Montreal, November 7th 2007 – Boulangerie St-Méthode continues to break new ground and introduces the ultimate sliced bread, with the added nutritional bonus of extra fibre and omega-3 fatty acids: the new Stone ground 12-grain, no fat, no sugar added club bread.

Making bread history!
Boulangerie St-Méthode’s new Stone ground 12-grain, no fat, no sugar added club bread offers the unique advantage of being made with finely ground grain, which produce a magnificently smooth texture, the perfect start to the perfect sandwich. Each bite brings the good taste of grain with none of the usual crunchy bits, allowing you to fully enjoy the flavour of the other components of the sandwich. Boulangerie St-Méthode’s master baker has done it again – combining authentic flavours with exceptional nutritional value!

The Stone ground 12-grain, no fat, no sugar added club bread has the unique advantage of offering all the flavour and benefits of a 12-grain sandwich bread, plus a few added nutritional benefits: a high source of fibre with 8 grams of fibre per 2-slice serving, it also provides essential omega-3 fatty acids!

New and improved club breads for the ultimate sandwich makeover!
Sandwiches have always played a part in a balanced diet. Even more so when they’re prepared with whole grain bread! The new Stone ground 12-grain, no fat, no sugar added club bread offers a new take on sandwiches, as it enhances the taste of the sandwich’s garnish rather than competing with it.

Boulangerie St-Méthode’s entire line of club breads with no fat, no sugar added has been improved to optimize their nutritional value and preserve their fabulous texture and taste. The 100% whole wheat, no fat, no sugar added club bread now has more fibre and omega-3 fatty acids, making it a “high source of fibre” and a “source of omega-3”. The white club also has more fibre.

A fibre-rich diet (25-35 g per day) helps to maintain weight and control diabetes, contributes to reducing cholesterol and prevents constipation. Omega-3 fatty acids, for their part, may reduce the level of triglycerides in the blood as well as blood pressure.
